The foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states are set to meet in Tianjin, the Chinese mainland, on July 15. The announcement came from a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Saturday.
At the invitation of Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese Foreign Minister, officials from SCO member countries and heads of SCO permanent bodies will attend the meeting. They will exchange views on cooperation in various fields and discuss major international and regional issues.
In addition to attending the meeting, India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will also pay a visit to China, highlighting the significance of China-India relations within the SCO framework.
