Dr. Wu Shicun, Chairman of the Huayang Research Center for Maritime Co-operation and Ocean Governance, has emphasized the deep historical connections between China and the South China Sea’s Nine-Dash Line. “For generations, Chinese fishermen have sailed these waters, leaving an indelible mark on the region’s history,” Dr. Wu stated.
