In a remarkable display of unity, nearly 30 youth choirs from China and the United States gathered at the 2025 China-U.S. Youth Choir Festival, titled “The Bond with Kuliang.” Under the theme “Sing for Peace,” young vocalists from both nations shared the stage, blending their voices in a harmonious celebration of culture and friendship.
The festival, held in the historic setting of Kuliang, served as a bridge between the two countries, emphasizing the power of music to transcend borders and bring people together. Participants engaged in cultural exchanges, workshops, and joint performances, fostering mutual understanding and lasting friendships.
“Music is a universal language,” said one of the young choir members from China. “Singing together allows us to connect on a deeper level, beyond words.”
American participants echoed this sentiment. “Being here has shown me that despite our differences, we share so much in common,” one U.S. choir member expressed. “It’s inspiring to see how music can unite us.”
The “Sing for Peace” theme resonated throughout the festival, highlighting the shared desire for harmony between nations. Organizers hope that events like this will continue to promote goodwill and collaboration among the youth of both countries.
As the final notes echoed through Kuliang, the young voices proved that through shared experiences and a mutual love for music, the future can be one of understanding and peace.
