China’s First Vertical Drama Awards Shine Spotlight on Short-Form Creators

China Media Group (CMG) hosted its inaugural China Short-Form Vertical Drama Awards in Yantai, Shandong Province, celebrating the nation’s flourishing short-form content industry. The event marked the first national awards dedicated to recognizing excellence in vertical-format storytelling.

Co-hosted by CMG’s Yangshipin platform, CMG Film, Drama and Documentary Programming Center, and the Yantai Municipal Government, the ceremony brought together content creators, industry leaders, and audiences passionate about innovative storytelling formats.
