Global Journalists Unite to Drive Modernization and Dialogue

Journalists from more than 50 countries and regions gathered in Ganzhou, east China’s Jiangxi Province, on Saturday for the 2025 Belt and Road Journalists Forum. The event, themed “Promoting Civilizations Dialogue and Global Modernization with the Power of Journalists,” attracted nearly 100 representatives from journalist associations and media outlets worldwide.

He Ping, chairman of the All-China Journalists’ Association, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the role of media in building bridges for mutual understanding and promoting prosperity across civilizations. He urged journalists to amplify the voice of peace to safeguard the continuity of civilizations.

Andrei Kryvasheyeu, rotating president of the Belt and Road Journalists Network, called for strengthened collaboration among journalists to reduce misunderstandings and biases through objective reporting.

The forum featured a variety of activities, including dialogues between foreign journalists and Chinese mayors, as well as discussions focusing on civilization dialogues and artificial intelligence. Participants explored ways to enhance media cooperation and leverage technological advancements to foster global modernization.
