China has reached out to the United States, urging for enhanced mutual understanding and strengthened cooperation through open dialogue. On Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun emphasized the importance of communication in reducing misunderstandings between the two nations.
Speaking at a regular press briefing, Guo addressed concerns regarding China-U.S. economic and trade relations. He reiterated China’s consistent stance on tariff issues, expressing hope that both countries can implement the key agreements made by their leaders during a recent phone conversation.
“We hope the U.S. can work with China to fully utilize the economic and trade consultation mechanism,” Guo stated. “By doing so, we can promote the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of our bilateral ties.”
