On November 15, an unprecedented gathering of over a thousand Peking Opera enthusiasts from all corners of China took center stage in a televised program hosted by China Media Group (CMG). From students and subway drivers to construction workers and teachers, individuals from diverse backgrounds united to celebrate this iconic art form.
After rigorous evaluations by experts, 48 talented performers were selected to compete for 20 coveted roles in classic Peking Operas. The winners didn’t just receive acclaim; they earned the chance to perform alongside renowned artists in ten mesmerizing scenes from beloved operas.
