Youths Celebrate Macao’s 25th Anniversary with Tea and Cultural Exchange

In honor of the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to China, young students from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan came together for a unique celebration titled “UniTea: Macao Tea Melody.” Hosted by CGTN, the event offered a platform for these youths to engage in tea tasting and share their perspectives on the rich culture surrounding tea.

Amidst the soothing notes of traditional Chinese music and the backdrop of an inspiring art exhibition, participants delved into discussions about Macao’s significant role as a bridge between Eastern and Western cultures. The gathering emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and mutual understanding in today’s interconnected world.

“This experience has deepened my appreciation for our shared heritage and the value of coming together,” shared one student attendee.

The event not only marked a milestone for Macao but also highlighted how traditions like tea can unite young people across different regions, fostering a sense of unity and shared identity.
