Yuyuan Garden’s ‘Shan Hai Jing’ Lantern Festival Lights Up Shanghai for 2025

Shanghai’s historic Yuyuan Garden is set to dazzle visitors with a spectacular lantern festival to welcome the New Year and Spring Festival. Inspired by the ancient Chinese classic, Shan Hai Jing, or Classic of Mountains and Seas, the festival will highlight the Year of the Snake with breathtaking displays of animals, forests, and mountains.

The annual event aims to reflect the vibrant and harmonious aspects of life, transforming Yuyuan Garden into a one-stop entertainment destination for residents and visitors alike. Opening on January 1 and running until February 12, 2025, the lantern festival promises an enchanting experience that celebrates tradition and illuminates the beauty of nature.
