Once kneading dough in a bakery, Zhang Jiahao is now carving paths down snow-covered mountains as he pursues his dream of Olympic glory in snowboarding.
Growing up, Zhang spent his days perfecting pastries, but his passion for adventure led him to the slopes. Swapping his apron for a snowboard, he embraced the thrill of the sport and dedicated himself to mastering it.
“I wanted to reach new heights, both literally and figuratively,” Zhang shared. “Snowboarding gives me a sense of freedom I’ve never felt before.”
Despite starting later than most athletes, his determination and hard work have propelled him into the spotlight as a promising contender for the next Olympic Games.
Zhang’s journey inspires many young people, showing that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.
