Beijing’s National Stadium came alive as the 2025 Masters Cup Ballroom Dance Beijing Open kicked off its grand opening ceremony on April 9. Notable among them are Robin Short, organizer of the renowned UK Open Dance Festival, and Marcus Hilton MBE, a nine-time World Professional Standard Dance Champion. Their presence adds prestige and ensures the competition’s fairness and authority.
Beyond the fierce competition, the event emphasizes cultural exchange through dance. The Belt and Road Youth Friendship Team Competition united young dancers from five partner countries, fostering mutual learning and connections through shared performances. University showcases featured students from prestigious institutions like Tsinghua University and Beijing Dance Academy, blending traditional and modern choreography to highlight the vibrancy of Chinese culture on a global stage.
