At the 8th Digital China Summit in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, over 100 bionic robots showcased their impressive capabilities, offering a glimpse into the future of China’s robotics industry.
Among the highlights were two robots dressed in traditional Chinese attire performing a comedic cross-talk routine, captivating the audience with their timing and expressions. Another robot amazed attendees by mirroring a woman’s voice and appearance, blurring the lines between human and machine.
Beyond entertainment, these robots demonstrated practical applications. One robot efficiently sorted food with speed and precision, while another carried out inspection work at an electrical substation, highlighting the potential for bionic robots to enhance various industries.
“China has taken a leading role in AI development,” said Guo Lei, a professor at Beihang University. “Bionic intelligence is a driving trend in our AI industry. We should not only focus on human bionics but also explore bird and fish bionics to achieve advanced missions in the sky and underwater.”
The summit showcased China’s significant strides in bionic robotics, emphasizing the country’s commitment to innovation and technology. As bionic robots become more integrated into society, they hold the promise of transforming industries and improving daily life.
