At the 55th Paris Air Show, China is turning heads with its array of advanced military and civilian aircraft. From stealth fighters to amphibious planes, the Chinese mainland is showcasing 30 aircraft models that highlight its growing prowess in aviation technology.
Making its international debut is the J-35A, a new-generation medium-sized multi-role stealth fighter. Capable of air superiority and striking ground and maritime targets, the J-35A represents a significant advancement in China’s military aviation.
Also featured is the J-20, a heavy stealth fighter designed primarily for air superiority. Alongside it is the J-10CE, equipped with the PL-15E, one of China’s top-tier long-range air-to-air missiles.
In the realm of civilian aviation, China’s AG600M amphibious firefighting plane is drawing attention for its versatility in emergency response. Additionally, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) like the Wing Loong series and the Xuange helicopter series are making their first appearance at the air show.
Other notable aircraft include the Y-20 large transport aircraft, the Z-20 utility helicopter, the Z-10ME attack helicopter, and the GJ-11 reconnaissance stealth attack drone.
The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) is presenting these innovations, emphasizing China’s commitment to international cooperation and technological advancement. Some aircraft, like the AC352 mid-sized utility helicopter, were jointly developed by AVIC and France-based Airbus, highlighting collaborative efforts in aerospace.
The Paris Air Show, inaugurated in 1909, is the world’s largest in the aerospace sector. It serves as a platform for countries and regions to exhibit excellence and innovation in the industry.
China first participated in the show in 1987, and its presence has grown significantly over the years. This year’s lineup underscores China’s expanding role in global aviation and its dedication to advancing both military and civilian aerospace capabilities.
