The Sanxingdui Museum in China has opened a groundbreaking exhibition titled “A Journey to Ancient Greece: Archaeological Explorations,” showcasing 172 rare artifacts from Greece. Opened on July 7, the exhibition marks the first time some of these artifacts have been displayed outside of Greece.
This landmark event is the museum’s first international exhibition since the inauguration of its new wing and signifies a historic collaboration between Greece’s Ministry of Culture and a museum in southwest China.
Visitors can marvel at a diverse collection of ancient Greek relics, including pottery, bronzeware, gold items, marble sculptures, and frescoes. The exhibition offers a vivid glimpse into the rich tapestry of ancient Greek civilization, fostering a deeper understanding of cross-cultural heritage.
In addition to the artifact display, the museum is hosting academic forums and cultural programs in partnership with Greek institutions. These events aim to bring ancient history closer to the public through engaging lectures and interactive activities.
The exhibition will run through December 21, inviting visitors from around the world to embark on this unique cultural journey.
