The Embassy of Ethiopia in China came alive with rhythm, color, and the rich aroma of coffee in Beijing on Thursday as it hosted a vibrant cultural showcase to commemorate the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Ethiopia.
Dozens of Ethiopian performers in traditional attire captivated the audience with energetic dances, soulful music, and dazzling acrobatics, offering a window into Ethiopia’s diverse cultural heritage. The traditional coffee ceremony—symbolizing hospitality—was a crowd favorite, filling the venue with the inviting scent of freshly brewed coffee.
After its debut in Beijing, the showcase is set to tour other Chinese cities, aiming to further connect the two peoples and lay the groundwork for expanded cooperation in tourism, education, and the creative industries.
