Over eight years, Nanxishan Hospital opened its doors to 5,324 Vietnamese patients who arrived in 119 groups, fleeing the ravages of one of the 20th century’s fiercest conflicts. Despite facing limited resources and immense challenges, the dedicated staff performed 2,576 surgical procedures, working tirelessly to save lives and alleviate suffering.
