Overcoming Obstacles: Graduate Student Empowers Others Through Legal Aid

Beijing — For most graduate students, balancing studies with personal life can be challenging. For Wang Jinwei, a master’s student at Beijing Technology and Business University, these challenges are compounded by his disability. Yet, Wang is not only persevering; he’s determined to make a difference.

Despite facing daily hurdles, Wang recently secured an internship where he provides legal consultation to people with disabilities. This role allows him to use his experiences and education to empower others facing similar challenges.

“I understand the struggles firsthand,” Wang shared. “This internship is an opportunity to help others navigate the legal complexities that come with disabilities.”

As he embarks on his first internship, Wang anticipates obstacles but remains optimistic. “It’s not just about me overcoming my own challenges, it’s about paving the way for others,” he said.

Wang’s journey is inspiring many, proving that with determination and empathy, one can turn personal challenges into avenues for communal support.
