At the United Nations Summit of the Future in New York, Iranian student Faezeh Mirzabeh had a powerful message: it’s time to amplify the voices of youth worldwide. The two-day summit wrapped up on Monday with the adoption of the Pact for the Future, tackling big issues like peace, security, sustainable development, and climate change.
Faezeh, who studies communications at China’s Tsinghua University, believes that effective communication is key to solving global problems like climate change and economic inequality. “With the world facing complex challenges and a lack of security, we need to communicate better,” she shared.
She stressed that young people from all over the globe have fresh ideas on things like global governance and working together. “We have innovative perspectives, and our voices should be heard loud and clear,” Faezeh said.
Her call echoes a growing movement among youth to take an active role in shaping the world. As issues intensify, it’s clear that the input of young people is more important than ever.
