The United Nations announced on Wednesday that most of Lebanon’s nearly 900 displacement shelters are now full, forcing families fleeing Israeli military strikes to sleep on the streets and in public parks.
According to Lebanese authorities, more than 1.2 million people have been displaced since the beginning of the aggression, with 2,083 killed and 9,869 wounded, many within the past two weeks.
Displaced residents are finding it increasingly difficult to find shelter. Schools converted into temporary shelters are overcrowded, and many families have nowhere else to go.
Humanitarian organizations are urging for immediate assistance to support the displaced population as the situation continues to deteriorate amid the ongoing conflict.
