The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2025 is set to take place from March 25 to 28 in Boao, south China’s Hainan Province. Under the theme \”Asia in the Changing World: Towards a Shared Future\”, this year’s event aims to foster dialogue, explore innovative solutions, and promote international development and cooperation.

In the lead-up to the conference, several Asian youths shared their thoughts on green lifestyles and environmental concepts in their countries. Among them is Celia Annetta, an Indonesian student at Tsinghua University, who shared insights into Indonesia’s eco-friendly practices.

\”In Indonesia, we often use banana leaves and brown paper to wrap food,\” Celia explained. \”It’s a traditional method that’s both sustainable and environmentally friendly.\”

Celia was also impressed by the widespread use of electric vehicles in China. \”Indonesia is also a bike-heavy country,\” she noted. \”If we could switch to e-bikes instead of fuel-powered bikes, it could make a big difference in our air pollution and help make our environment cleaner.\”

These perspectives highlight the growing commitment among Asian youth to embrace sustainable practices and advocate for green development. As the Boao Forum approaches, their voices contribute to a broader conversation about the future of environmental stewardship in Asia.
