At the recently concluded 5th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) on April 18, British student Max Passey from Hainan University took viewers on a captivating tour of the United Kingdom’s pavilion. The expo, which set a new record for scale during its six-day run, showcased a significant increase in international participation and professionalism compared to previous years.
As the guest country of honor, the United Kingdom shone under the theme “British Craftsmanship in Hainan“, featuring an exhibition area exceeding 1,300 square meters. With 53 brands on display—nearly double the number from the last expo—the UK pavilion highlighted the best of British innovation and tradition.
Max explored various sections of the pavilion, introducing exhibits ranging from beauty and personal care to British fashion, health consumption, lifestyle, and outdoor activities. His enthusiastic walkthrough offered insights into the unique products and services that British brands are bringing to Chinese consumers.
During his visit, Max interviewed staff members about their experiences at the expo. Many expressed excitement about the opportunities the event provides for fostering cooperation between China and the UK. “It’s inspiring to see such a lively exchange of culture and commerce,” one staff member remarked. “We’re looking forward to building stronger connections with consumers and businesses here.”
The CICPE has become a significant platform for international brands to enter the Chinese market and for consumers to experience global products. Max’s journey through the UK pavilion not only highlighted the growing interest in British goods but also emphasized the importance of cultural exchange in today’s interconnected world.
As more young people like Max engage with international events such as CICPE, the bridges between countries continue to strengthen, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration.
