Haifa, June 14 – Tension is high in the Israeli city of Haifa after Iran launched hundreds of missiles and drones overnight in retaliation to a large-scale Israeli air strike on Iran.
On June 13, Israel targeted over 200 Iranian military and nuclear facilities in a massive air offensive. In response, Iran struck several Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa, resulting in at least three deaths and dozens of injuries, according to official reports.
Tony, a resident of Haifa, described the terrifying experience from the previous night. “We’ve experienced many rocket attacks. Streets are empty and people are deeply worried. We are hoping for the best, but preparing for anything,” he said.
The atmosphere in Haifa remains tense as residents brace for potential further escalation. Public concern is growing over the possibility of a full-scale conflict between the two nations.
Authorities have urged citizens to stay alert and follow safety guidelines. Meanwhile, international leaders are calling for de-escalation to prevent further loss of life.
