Trucks carrying much-needed medical supplies and food arrived at a warehouse in Gaza on June 26, bringing relief to residents facing shortages of essential goods.
However, on the same day, Israeli authorities closed crossings into northern Gaza once again. The closures were reportedly in response to recent images showing masked men on aid trucks.
According to clan leaders in Gaza, the masked men, some holding sticks, were offering protection to the aid convoy. They emphasized that these escorts were there to ensure the safe passage of humanitarian supplies amid ongoing tensions in the region.
The renewed closure of the crossings has raised concerns about the flow of aid into Gaza. International organizations have urged for the borders to remain open to allow continuous delivery of humanitarian assistance.
