Siberian Tigers Embrace Winter Wonderland in China’s Shenyang Park

The winter chill has brought joy to over 100 Siberian tigers at the Guaipo Siberian Tiger Park in Shenyang City, northeast China’s Liaoning Province. As temperatures dip, these majestic creatures are diving into the snow, playing and roaming through the frosty forests.

Some tigers cuddle around trees to share warmth, while others lounge on beds of straw, soaking up the rare winter sunlight. The dedication of the zookeepers ensures these endangered animals stay comfortable during the cold season.

“Because it’s cold in winter, we’ve added more meat to the tigers’ diets, like beef and pork, to help them resist the cold,” said Song Haishan, a zookeeper at the park. “We’ve also been putting dried straw in their outdoor enclosures regularly. It helps protect the tigers from the cold and keeps them warm.”

The extra care hasn’t gone unnoticed. The tigers are thriving, their playful antics bringing smiles to visitors and highlighting the importance of wildlife conservation.
