More Snow Ice Flooding to Lash Us in Coming Days

Triple Threat: Snow, Ice, and Floods to Hit U.S. This Week

A series of powerful storms is set to sweep across the United States this week, bringing snow, ice, and flooding to numerous regions.

The second storm in a trio will develop late Tuesday, delivering accumulating snow across the Rockies and Plains before spreading into the Midwest and Northeast, according to weather forecasts. Snow is expected to fall in around two dozen states from Colorado to Maine, beginning late Tuesday through early Thursday. Residents should prepare for snow-covered and slippery roads, travel delays, and possible school cancellations.

Meanwhile, the week’s first storm is bringing accumulating snow to parts of the Ohio Valley and the Mid-Atlantic on Tuesday, including Washington, D.C.

The third storm is expected to barrel into California on Thursday, bringing heavy rain to areas recently devastated by wildfires. This raises concerns about flooding and mudslides. The system will then sweep across the country from Friday into the weekend.

Authorities are urging people in the affected areas to stay informed and take necessary precautions.
