China’s Second CISCE: Boosting Global Supply Chain Stability

China is set to host the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) from November 26 to 30 in Beijing, under the theme “Connecting the World for a Shared Future.” The expo aims to strengthen global supply chain stability and foster international collaboration amid current global trade challenges.

The CISCE will bring together over 600 companies from more than 100 countries and regions. Notably, there’s a significant increase in foreign exhibitors from the U.S., Europe, and Japan, reflecting growing international confidence in the Chinese market and a desire to enhance partnerships within the global supply chain network.

Key industries showcased at the expo include advanced manufacturing, digital technology, green agriculture, and supply chain services. With over 70 innovative products on display, the event serves as a platform for connecting businesses across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, helping them integrate more effectively into global supply chains.

In a move to support the Global South, China has extended invitations to African exhibitors, aiming to boost their participation and competitiveness in the global supply chain. The expo emphasizes cooperation and resource sharing to navigate the complexities of modern trade, including geopolitical uncertainties, trade protectionism, and technological disruptions.

China’s role as a global supply chain hub is underscored by its comprehensive industrial system, advanced logistics, and skilled workforce. Events like the CISCE highlight the importance of open dialogue and partnership in building a resilient and dynamic global supply chain for the future.
