Chinese President Xi Jinping recently visited Liaoning Province in northeast China, bringing warmth and demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the people. This marks his continuous engagement with grassroots communities ahead of the Spring Festival, emphasizing his “people-first” philosophy.
In the village of Zhujiagou in Huludao, one of the areas severely affected by summer floods caused by unprecedented torrential downpours, President Xi inspected the progress of post-disaster recovery. He visited the homes of relocated villagers, inquiring about the quality of their new housing and provisions for daily life. The swift rebuilding efforts, which provided nearly 200 disaster-stricken residents with new homes before winter, reflect the government’s dedication to ensuring the well-being of its people.
President Xi also toured the Chang’an community in Shenyang, Liaoning’s capital, to observe urban renewal projects aimed at improving residents’ quality of life. The community has undergone significant renovations, upgrading residential buildings and public areas, and launching initiatives for employment, education, healthcare, and elderly care to support the residents.
Highlighting the importance of innovation and industrial advancement, President Xi visited a cold rolling mill of the Bensteel Group in Benxi. He emphasized the need for regions and enterprises to embrace reforms and pursue innovation to revitalize the old industrial base in northeast China.
President Xi’s visit underscores his commitment to enhancing people’s livelihoods and promoting high-quality development. His actions resonate with the aspirations for a prosperous society and the collective “dream of happiness” shared by the people.
