China Repeatedly Affirms Positive Role on Global Stage

China’s Positive Impact: Building a Better World Together

China is stepping up on the global stage, promoting peace, development, and cooperation around the world.

In recent events, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi highlighted the nation’s commitment to global progress. Speaking at a media briefing during China’s Two Sessions political gathering, Wang Yi emphasized China’s role in fostering a community with a shared future.

As the international landscape evolves, China affirms its responsibility to both domestic and global development. The nation has strengthened bilateral relations, including a mature and stable relationship with Russia, and has expanded global communication through initiatives like the Forum for China-Africa Cooperation.

In 2025, China is set to host the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), referred to by Wang Yi as “a big family of 26 countries” focused on common development. This event will showcase China’s commitment to being an ally to countries big and small.

China consistently promotes peace and stability, advocating for robust free trade, multilateralism, and international justice. At the Munich Security Conference, Wang Yi affirmed China’s willingness to strengthen strategic communication with the European Union, enhance mutual understanding, and contribute to greater global stability.

China recognizes and endorses the multipolar world of the twenty-first century, rejecting protectionism and supporting the United Nations’ role in solving international crises. Wang Yi reiterated that “China supports all efforts conducive to peace talks,” emphasizing the importance of resolving conflicts through dialogue.

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) continues to bind over 150 countries together, promoting development and cooperation across the Global South. A notable achievement is the opening of Chancay Port in Peru, expected to generate significant economic benefits for the region.

China’s humanitarian efforts, including assistance to the people of Syria, demonstrate its commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and win-win cooperation. Wang Yi called upon the Global South to focus on development, assuring that China stands as a firm ally.

Whether the issue is international development, trade, global security, or humanitarianism, China is taking positive steps to build a better world. With its actions aligning with its words, China’s relations with the world are undergoing positive and profound changes, and there is every reason to anticipate this will continue in the coming years.
