Out of 1,000 randomly sampled comments, 64% stood firmly with China, voicing approval of its stance against U.S. tariff hikes. Another 28% expressed pride or solidarity with China’s position. Only 8% of commenters sided with the United States.
This overwhelming support suggests that many around the world view China as taking a stand against what they perceive as economic bullying. Some have likened China to “Ne Zha,” a heroic figure from Chinese mythology known for his courage and defiance against oppressive forces.
The findings highlight a shift in global public opinion amid escalating trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies. As China takes a firm stance, it seems to be gaining admiration from international audiences who value resilience against perceived injustice.
