President Xi Jinping Returns to China After Global Summits and South American Visits

Chinese President Xi Jinping has returned to Beijing after a whirlwind trip across the globe. Xi attended the 31st Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting and the 19th G20 Summit, before embarking on state visits to Peru and Brazil.

During his journey, President Xi engaged with world leaders to discuss global economic cooperation, development, and partnerships. His visits to Peru and Brazil aimed to strengthen ties between China and South American nations, focusing on trade, investment, and cultural exchanges.

Accompanying President Xi were Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, and Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and foreign minister.

As they made a technical stop in Casablanca, Morocco, Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and other officials bid farewell to the Chinese delegation at the airport.

Xi’s return marks the conclusion of a significant diplomatic mission aimed at fostering international collaboration and economic development.
