Syrian Army Says Withdrawing from Aleppo to Prepare Counteroffensive

Syrian Army Withdraws from Aleppo to Prepare Counterattack

The Syrian military announced on Saturday a temporary withdrawal of troops from the city of Aleppo. This move is part of a strategy to regroup and prepare for a counteroffensive against insurgent forces.

“We are repositioning our troops to strengthen our capabilities,” a military spokesperson said. “Reinforcements are on their way to launch a decisive counterattack against the insurgents.”

Over the past few days, fierce battles in Aleppo and the nearby province of Idlib have resulted in dozens of soldiers being killed or injured. The withdrawal aims to minimize further casualties and enhance the effectiveness of upcoming operations.

The situation on the ground remains fluid, with civilians affected by the ongoing conflict. International observers are closely watching developments as tensions escalate in the region.
