China’s Wang Yi Reaffirms Germany as Key Partner at Beijing Summit

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock co-chaired the seventh China-Germany Strategic Dialogue on Diplomacy and Security in Beijing on Monday. The meeting marked a significant milestone as the two nations celebrated the 10th anniversary of their all-round strategic partnership.

During the dialogue, Wang Yi emphasized the importance of Germany as a key partner for China, noting the 52 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. “China has always regarded Germany as an important partner,” Wang stated. He underscored the need for both nations to reflect on their past cooperation and actively explore future opportunities.

Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted the stability and consistency of China’s policy toward Germany. He expressed confidence that the partnership would continue to flourish, benefiting both nations and contributing to global stability.

The strategic dialogue provided a platform for China and Germany to discuss diplomatic and security issues, strengthen mutual understanding, and enhance collaboration on international affairs. The meeting underscored the commitment of both countries to deepen their partnership amid a rapidly changing global landscape.
