In a significant move to bolster international friendships, China’s top political advisor Wang Huning met with Marcus Stephen, the Speaker of Nauru’s Parliament, in Beijing on Tuesday. This meeting marks a new chapter in the renewed diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Wang Huning, chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, highlighted that resuming ties with Nauru showcases the global consensus on the one-China principle. He emphasized that this alignment reflects the prevailing trends of our times.
The leaders of China and Nauru reached an important agreement in March, setting a strategic direction for enhancing bilateral relations and practical cooperation.
