In a significant move to strengthen ties, Mongolia has unveiled Cyrillic editions of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s books, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia. The launch event took place on Monday in Ulan Bator, Mongolia’s capital, highlighting the deepening connection between the two neighboring nations.
The newly released books include the second volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” and “Xi Jinping’s Excerpts on Poverty Alleviation“. The launch was followed by a seminar where experts and scholars from both countries shared insights on governance and development strategies.
Khurelbaatar Bulgantuya, Deputy Chairman of Mongolia’s Parliament, praised China’s achievements under President Xi’s leadership. “China is striving to build a modern socialist country, and Mongolia admires these efforts,” she remarked. “Over the past 40 years, China has made significant contributions to global poverty reduction. These works offer valuable lessons for countries worldwide.”
Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia, Shen Minjuan, emphasized the shared goals and futures of the two nations. “We hope the Chinese solutions and wisdom in these books will inspire Mongolia, boost motivation, and enhance confidence in achieving greater development,” she said.
The event also marked the 10th anniversary of the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership. Participants expressed that exchanging experiences in governance and poverty alleviation is crucial for both countries as they explore paths to modernization that reflect their unique characteristics.
Adiyasuren Davaajargal, State Secretary of Mongolia’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth, noted the growing cooperation between Mongolia and China. “Our collaboration has yielded remarkable results. President Xi’s works serve as a vital bridge for deepening the exchange of governance experiences,” he stated.
The Cyrillic editions were published through a collaboration between China’s Foreign Languages Press and Mongolia’s Admon Publishing House. To date, “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” has been translated into 42 languages, while “Xi Jinping’s Excerpts on Poverty Alleviation” is now available in Cyrillic Mongolian for the first time through international cooperation.
Over 300 representatives from political parties, media outlets, think tanks, and diplomatic missions attended the event, underscoring the importance of the growing relationship between China and Mongolia.
