Chinese President Xi Jinping is calling for the Communist Party of China (CPC) to step up its self-improvement efforts. In a new article published in the Party’s top magazine, the Qiushi Journal, Xi emphasizes the importance of the Party evolving to meet new challenges and staying connected with the people.
He points out that as China grows and changes, the Party must address any internal issues to remain strong. “We’ll inevitably face conflicts and problems,” Xi writes. “It’s crucial that we tackle these head-on through self-reform to keep our energy and vitality.”
Xi highlights that the CPC represents the fundamental interests of all Chinese people. By focusing on the greater good and not personal interests, the Party can stay dedicated to serving the nation. He urges the Party to swiftly deal with any problems within its ranks to prevent corruption or abuse of power.
Centralized leadership is key, according to Xi. He calls for strengthening Party organizations and improving systems to ensure officials are held accountable. Fighting corruption and enforcing discipline are also top priorities in his message.
Finally, Xi stresses the importance of combining Party self-supervision with public oversight. By being open to feedback and maintaining transparency, the Party can continue to progress and effectively lead China into the future.
