Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced his readiness to talk with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. Speaking at his annual press conference on Thursday, Putin shared that he is prepared to engage in dialogue with the incoming U.S. leader.
When asked about his plans for discussions with Trump, Putin admitted he doesn’t yet know when they will meet. “I don’t know when exactly we’ll meet,” Putin said. “It’s important for us to start restoring our relations.”
The Russian president emphasized the significance of improving U.S.-Russia relations, which have been strained in recent years. Putin expressed hope that the new U.S. administration would work with Russia to address global challenges.
“We are ready to do our part in turning the page and moving forward,” Putin added.
