In a vibrant celebration ahead of International Women’s Day, China hosted a grand reception in Beijing on Friday. The event brought together over 1,000 guests from around the world, including diplomatic envoys and representatives from international organizations.
Chinese State Councilor Shen Yiqin addressed the gathering, urging the nation’s hundreds of millions of women to continue shaping the country’s future. “Women are the architects of society’s progress,” Shen declared. “Let us write new, splendid chapters on our journey toward building a great country and advancing national rejuvenation.”
As the president of the All-China Women’s Federation, Shen announced that China will co-host the Global Summit of Women with UN Women in Beijing later this year. She emphasized China’s readiness to collaborate with global partners to build a better world for all women and all people.
