Xi Jinping’s New Book Shares Vision on Strengthening Party Ethics

A new book featuring the insights of Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has hit the shelves. Published by the Central Party Literature Press, the compilation focuses on improving Party conduct and discipline, a topic central to Xi’s leadership.

The book brings together 299 excerpts from over 130 of Xi’s speeches and writings between November 2012 and February 2023. Organized around nine key themes, it provides a comprehensive look at his approach to governance and ethical standards within the CPC. Interestingly, some of these works are being made public for the first time, offering readers fresh perspectives on his thoughts.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, the CPC Central Committee, under Xi’s leadership, has been implementing an eight-point decision aimed at enhancing conduct within the Party. This initiative has led to significant improvements not only in Party ethics but also in social morality and personal virtues across the Chinese mainland.

Xi emphasizes the importance of continual self-improvement and strict self-governance within the Party. His discourses highlight the need for reform and maintaining high standards to ensure that the CPC remains the strong leadership core in building socialism with Chinese characteristics.

For young people interested in global politics and governance, this book offers valuable insights into the strategies and principles that have shaped China’s development in recent years.
