China and Jordan Strengthen Ties for Regional Peace and Growth
China is set to deepen its partnership with Jordan, aiming to boost development and contribute to peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond. Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Chen Chuandong shared this vision during a press conference in Amman on Sunday.
Discussing the outcomes of China’s recent Two Sessions—the annual gatherings of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference—Ambassador Chen highlighted the “strong complementarity” between China and Jordan’s economic structures. He referred to Jordan as a “close partner” and noted that China’s reform and development policies align with Jordan’s modernization efforts.
“China and Jordan have vast opportunities for cooperation, especially in agriculture,” said Chen. He encouraged Jordan to participate in Chinese exhibitions to promote its products, particularly dates and olive oil.
The ambassador emphasized China’s commitment to global governance based on extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits. He also stated that China will continue to offer solutions for pressing global issues, including promoting political settlements for the Ukraine crisis and striving for a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue.
“China is dedicated to contributing to peace and stability in the Middle East,” Chen affirmed.
