Trump Says Iran to Suffer Dire Consequences for Further Houthi Attacks

Trump Warns Iran of ‘Dire Consequences’ Over Houthi Attacks in Yemen

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran, declaring that Tehran will face “dire consequences” if the Houthi rebels in Yemen continue their attacks. “Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday.

Accusing Iran of providing the Houthis with weapons, money, and intelligence, Trump emphasized that “IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!” His comments come amid escalating tensions in the region, where the Houthis have been engaged in a prolonged conflict in Yemen.

On the same day, Alexus Grynkewich, the head of operations at the Joint Staff, announced during a Pentagon press briefing that the United States struck 30 Houthi targets across multiple locations on March 15. “More strikes were conducted on March 16 and 17, and the operation will continue in the coming days until we achieve the president’s objectives,” he stated.

The Houthi health ministry reported on Sunday that the U.S. strikes have resulted in 53 fatalities and 98 injuries since March 15. The escalating military actions have raised concerns over civilian casualties and the potential for a broader regional conflict.

The situation in Yemen has been dire, with the ongoing conflict causing a humanitarian crisis that has impacted millions of people. The international community has been calling for a resolution to the conflict and for all parties to engage in peace talks.
