In a significant development, Russia and Ukraine have exchanged hundreds of prisoners of war (POWs) in their latest swap, officials from both countries confirmed on Wednesday. Russia returned 175 Ukrainian POWs and 22 seriously wounded soldiers in need of urgent medical care, while Ukraine handed over 175 Russian troops.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that the returned soldiers have left Ukraine and are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving necessary medical treatment and psychological assistance.
