China Urges Israel and Iran to Seek Peaceful Dialogue Amid Rising Tensions

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke with Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar over the phone on Saturday, emphasizing the need for peaceful dialogue between Israel and Iran amid escalating tensions.

Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, expressed China’s firm opposition to Israel’s use of force against Iran in violation of international law. He stressed that the immediate priority is to prevent further escalation and instability in the region.

“There is still room for a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear issue,” Wang Yi stated. “Military means cannot deliver lasting peace.”

He urged both Israel and Iran to resolve their differences through dialogue and work towards peaceful coexistence. Wang Yi added that China is willing to play a constructive role in supporting efforts to ease tensions and promote stability in the Middle East.

China’s call for diplomacy highlights the importance of international cooperation in addressing complex regional conflicts and underscores its commitment to fostering peace and security.
