China and Germany Vow to Strengthen Cooperation and Deepen Ties

Beijing, China — China and Germany have pledged to enhance their strategic partnership and deepen cooperation after a high-level meeting in Berlin on Friday. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Gunter Sautter, Foreign and Security Policy Advisor to the German Chancellor, to discuss the future of bilateral relations between the two nations.

Both sides expressed their commitment to fostering mature and stable relations, agreeing to make solid preparations for upcoming high-level exchanges. They highlighted the importance of mechanisms such as government consultations and strategic dialogues to enhance communication and mutual understanding.

“China and Germany share an all-round strategic partnership that goes beyond the bilateral scope,” Wang Yi said. “We hope Germany will play a constructive role in the European Union to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of both sides and jointly respond to global challenges.”

The two officials agreed to manage differences constructively and expand mutually beneficial cooperation. By strengthening ties, they aim to promote sustainable, healthy, and stable development in their relationship.

Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, emphasized the broader significance of China-Germany relations in the global context.

The meeting marks a continued effort by both nations to collaborate closely on international issues and enhance their strategic partnership amid global challenges.
