Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu in Tianjin, north China, on Tuesday, strengthening the bond between the two nations ahead of the upcoming Tianjin summit.
Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, emphasized that under the guidance of their respective heads of state, China-Kazakhstan relations have reached an all-time high. “China has always valued Kazakhstan as an important neighbor,” Wang said. “We are willing to work together to support each other firmly, deepen political trust, and explore new avenues of cooperation.”
Highlighting Kazakhstan’s role as a founding member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Wang expressed China’s eagerness to collaborate with Kazakhstan and other SCO member states to ensure the success of the Tianjin summit. The summit is expected to focus on regional security and economic development.
Nurtleu conveyed Kazakhstan’s strong support for China’s initiatives and its commitment to contribute positively to the summit. “We are ready to implement the consensus reached by our leaders, prepare for high-level exchanges, and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, investment, energy, railways, and the construction of industrial parks,” Nurtleu stated. “We also aim to enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges to promote the continuous development of our bilateral relations.”
The meeting signifies a strengthening partnership between China and Kazakhstan, with both nations looking forward to increased collaboration and prosperity.
