Su Yiming Aims High at Beijing’s Snowboard Big Air World Cup

Chinese snowboarding star Su Yiming is gearing up to push his boundaries at the FIS Snowboard and Freeski Big Air World Cup, which kicks off this Friday at Beijing’s Shougang Park. Returning to the venue where he clinched Olympic gold in the big air event at the 2022 Beijing Winter Games, Su is eager to showcase new, high-difficulty tricks in front of his home crowd.

At a press conference on Thursday, Su expressed his excitement about competing at one of the world’s premier big air venues, which he believes allows him to fully display his skills. He emphasized the positive atmosphere among the athletes, noting that they inspire each other to attempt better moves. Su is aiming for victory but also wishes for all competitors to complete the event safely and successfully.

The World Cup event, concluding on Sunday, will feature over 170 elite athletes from more than 20 countries and regions. Many participants are striving to secure their spots for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, promising an intense and thrilling competition.
