Badminton Legend Chen Long Joins BWF Hall of Fame

China’s badminton superstar Chen Long has been inducted into the 2024 Badminton World Federation (BWF) Hall of Fame, cementing his legacy as one of the sport’s all-time greats.

The 35-year-old athlete played a pivotal role during a golden era for Chinese badminton. Known for his composure under pressure, Chen Long’s career is adorned with remarkable achievements.

His illustrious accomplishments include an Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Rio Games, a silver at the Tokyo 2020 Games, and a bronze from the 2012 London Olympics. Beyond the Olympics, Chen secured two World Championship titles and amassed 22 Super Series and World Tour victories.

Joining Chen in the Hall of Fame is South Korea’s Lee Yong-dae, celebrated for his exceptional career as a doubles specialist. Lee clinched a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, showcasing his remarkable talent on the world stage.
