Tottenham Beat Man United 4 3 to Reach English League Cup Semis

Tottenham Edge Man United 4-3 to Secure League Cup Semifinal Spot

Tottenham Hotspur overcame Manchester United in a thrilling 4-3 victory at home, securing their spot in the English League Cup semifinals.

The match kicked off with an early goal from James Maddison in the 15th minute, who pounced on a rebound after a save by United’s goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir. Just after the break, Dejan Kulusevski doubled the lead for Spurs, capitalizing on a defensive error by Lisandro Martinez.

Son Heung-min made it 3-0 for Tottenham in the 54th minute, seemingly putting the game out of reach. However, Manchester United fought back, with substitutes Anthony Martial and Amad Diallo scoring to bring the score to 3-2, following mistakes from Spurs’ stand-in goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

As United pushed for an equalizer, Tottenham’s Richarlison scored a spectacular goal in the 88th minute from a corner, extending the lead to 4-2. Despite a late goal from United’s Jonny Evans, Tottenham held on for the win.

Spurs will now face Premier League leaders Liverpool in the semifinals, as they aim to secure their first trophy since 2008.
