Beijing Ducks Edge Liaoning Flying Leopards 106-105 in Thrilling CBA Clash

The Beijing Ducks clinched a nail-biting 106-105 victory over the Liaoning Flying Leopards on Friday, handing the three-time defending champions their third consecutive defeat in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

The game kicked off with Liaoning’s Kyle Fogg sinking a three-pointer, setting the tone for an intense match. Fogg, who scored a game-high 45 points, quickly propelled the Flying Leopards ahead. Teammate Han Dejun assisted Fogg in extending the early lead after grabbing an offensive rebound.

Despite trailing early on, the Ducks fought back with determination. Eugene German’s fast break led to a spectacular dunk by Zeng Fanbo, narrowing the gap to 51-43. Richard Solomon’s powerful jam, following a long pass from German, brought Beijing even closer.

Entering the fourth quarter, Beijing unleashed a 9-0 run to seize the lead. Chen Ying-chun’s clutch three-pointer expanded their advantage to 95-87, putting pressure on the reigning champions.

Liaoning battled back as Wang Lanqin hit a crucial three-pointer, cutting the deficit to two points. With just 39 seconds remaining, Fogg was fouled while making a jumper and converted the free throw, bringing the Flying Leopards within one point.

In the game’s final moments, Fogg attempted a game-winning three-pointer, but Zeng Fanbo’s decisive block secured the victory for the Ducks. Beijing now sits in third place, while Liaoning’s skid drops them to sixth.
