Shanghai Sharks Extend Winning Streak with 138-101 Victory over Jilin

The Shanghai Sharks soared to their eighth consecutive win in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), defeating the Jilin Northeast Tigers 138-101 at home on Monday night.

The game started intensely, with Eric Bledsoe connecting with Li Hongquan for a corner three-pointer, giving the Sharks an early lead. Kenneth Lofton added to the momentum, driving in to push Shanghai ahead by six points.

Jilin fought back in the second quarter. Cui Jinming nailed a three-pointer, propelling the visitors to an eight-point advantage. Despite Tomas Kyzlink missing a triple, Zhao Jiahao grabbed a crucial rebound, extending Jilin’s lead to ten points.

The tide turned in the third quarter when Bledsoe found Lofton, whose three-pointer tied the game at 74. From there, Shanghai took control. Li Tianrong was unstoppable, sinking seven three-pointers in total and putting the Sharks ahead by 11. Li Hongquan added another from beyond the arc, leading to his team-high 34 points. Yan Pengfei capped off the game, helping Shanghai secure a commanding 37-point victory.

Zhejiang Golden Bulls Overpower Guangzhou Loong Lions 120-103

In another high-scoring matchup, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls outplayed the Guangzhou Loong Lions with a 120-103 win.

Lu Wenbo set the tone early, draining a three-pointer to put Zhejiang in the lead. Gabe York was on fire, knocking down a three that widened the gap to 23 points in the second quarter.

The Golden Bulls maintained their dominance into the third quarter. York continued his impressive performance with a smooth jumper, extending the home side’s lead to 20 points. Damion Jones showcased his playmaking skills by setting up Wang Yibo for an easy two-pointer, pushing Zhejiang ahead by 27.

Wang sealed the victory with another three-pointer, marking the Golden Bulls’ seventh straight home win.

With these significant victories, both the Shanghai Sharks and Zhejiang Golden Bulls have strengthened their positions in the CBA standings, thrilling fans with their dynamic performances.
