Real Madrid Dominates Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai

Real Madrid stole the spotlight at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, with several of their stars and coach receiving top honors. The ceremony on Friday night celebrated outstanding performances in football, and Real Madrid’s achievements shone brightly.

Vinicius Jr. was the biggest winner, earning both the Best Men’s Player and Best Forward awards. The Brazilian sensation beat out teammate Jude Bellingham and legend Cristiano Ronaldo to claim the top prize. With 25 goals and 12 assists in 40 games during the 2023-24 season, Vinicius was instrumental in helping ‘Los Blancos’ secure titles in La Liga, the Supercopa de España, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

In his acceptance speech, Vinicius expressed gratitude: “Firstly, I want to thank all of my teammates, my family, and Flamengo, who put me on the world stage. I always thank them and my teammates, which is the most important thing of all, because without them, I would not be here. Also my fans, who follow me closely and cheer me on. Globe Soccer is the award I’ve been working hard for, and being recognized is very important. Good night, everybody, and may 2025 be an incredible year for all of us.”

Jude Bellingham, another standout for Real Madrid, secured the Best Midfielder honor and the Diego Maradona Award after scoring 23 goals and providing 13 assists in the 2023-24 campaign.

Adding to the club’s triumphs, Carlo Ancelotti was named Best Coach, recognizing his leadership in guiding the team to multiple victories.

Meanwhile, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo received the Best Middle East Based Player award. At nearly 40 years old, Ronaldo showcased his enduring talent by contributing 44 goals and 13 assists in 45 games for Al Nassr last season, along with seven goals in 12 appearances for Portugal in 2024. He was also honored with a special trophy for being football’s all-time leading scorer with 916 goals.

Ronaldo shared his determination to continue: “In one month, I’m going to do it, 40-years-old, but I’m not finished yet. I will continue, because I want to win titles. I want to be champion, I want to score more goals, I want to try to win for the national team anything else, and guys, thank you so much. The fans, they always support me, and keep going, because I will continue. Thank you, a lot, for your support. Good night.”

Also making headlines was Lamine Yamal, the 17-year-old Barcelona striker, who was named Best Emerging Player for his exceptional performance in 2024, including helping Spain win the UEFA European Championship.

The Globe Soccer Awards highlighted the remarkable talent and achievements in the football world, with Real Madrid’s dominance underscoring their status as one of the sport’s premier clubs.
